I’ve given the demo a run and here are my thoughts based on that first 20-minute section of the game. VR games may cause some players to experience motion sickness. PlayStation VR is slowly and steadily receiving new games, and one of the more promising titles coming soon is Fracked.Exclusive to Sony's headset, the game takes place in the Alaskan mountains, where a fracking facility is centre stage in an invasion from interdimensional creatures. Though to be fair to the game’s developer, nDreams, the team has made those PS Move wands feel more than bearable. It’s a simple but effective way of giving you the ability to quickly duck in and out of cover without having to fiddle with the face buttons on limited PS Move wands. I liked it for what it was and just like any 80s action movie worth its questionably sticky cinema seat, shooting thousands of bullets over a synth soundtrack took precedence over the story, and rightly so because that’s where Fracked earns its coins.įracked is a cover shooter with a difference.
